Eleanor Lever- ADHD Coach and Neurodevelopmental Specialist

My academic background and experience is in Psychology and education; I have an MSc with distinction in Psychology and am a qualified teacher. I am also a qualified ADHD and executive functioning coach.

Work in School

I spent several years working in mainstream schools before working as SENDCO and headteacher in special schools for children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. In these schools, I saw a pattern in which children struggle to cope in busy classrooms, leading them to develop a general resistance to school. Often, these children had underlying ADHD or ASD.

Lived Experience

I went on to have my own neurodivergent children, which has given me the lived experience of parenting children with ADHD. I understand the day-to-day difficulties families experience: getting ready for school, completing homework, living in chaos, challenging behaviour, poor time management.

Experience Working with ADHD and ASD

From 2020-26, I worked in a private clinic which assesses and supports children with ASD and ADHD. Here I learnt so much about ADHD, how it presents in girls, masking in school, the effect at home, sensory sensitivities associated with ADHD, and challenging behaviour. I completed a course in coaching children with ADHD and Executive Functioning challenges.

ADHD Coaching

I have combined my academic background, work in schools, and experience as a neurodevelopmental specialist to coach children with ADHD. My service aims to help children and parents understand ADHD and learn coping strategies to manage challenges and make life easier and calmer.
